The FISHING HAS BEEN SLOW . The best thing to use is anything behind pop,gear or a dodger.

The fishing has not been so good. The best way to get rainbows is a muddler minnow and pop, gear. The only way to get the big boys is worms close to rooks

I used to live less than a 1/4 mile away from the lake for 10 years so I know the lake very well. The only time I ever caught any fish there was when I went ice fishing back in the mid 80's,I used corn. I have seen some big fish come out of there, but don't plan on getting a trout over 12" unless your planning on spending a lot of time there (days) or if your just extremely lucky. I've had the most luck in Wenas Valley by hitting fishing holes along the Wenas Creek. In my opinion Wenas Lake is the place to go when you don't have a better place to go and want to enjoy looking at some hills covered with sagebrush.
