I am trying to decide whether I should head out on the sound for blackmouth tommorrow or hit up some local rivers. The weather calls for 14 mph wind from the SSW. Will fishing be enjoyable in a 16ft. Lund at Westpoint, or should I hit the sky?

It's doable but probably not enjoyable in a small boat.

My personal theory about the wind is anything under 10 is great, 10-15 I can handle and will go without too much thought if it gets to rough I will fish areas that I can hide from the wind. Sounth wind I will hunker down and fish the north end of hat island or run north of langly and fish the whidbey side. 15+ and I really have to think about how much fun I am going to have and if where I plan to go I can hide from the wind or not. Usually if the wave height is predicted 1-3' I am ok. 2-4' and I like to stay home. Lots of guys will go out but for me its just no fun that way. Good luck! and have fun!
