What a fool. I was watching him tonight and he was hunting Caribou. He starts off by saying his range with traditional archery equipment is 15-20yds. Next thing you know he taken 6 shots from high 40s to low 50s. He even took a shot at a running Caribou at 45yds. Every shot he took was in a pretty stiff wind as well.

IMO,this isn't the image the non-hunting public needs to see.

I don't like watching him do anything. Every time words come out of his mouth I just get disgusted. I've heard lots of stupid crap he does. It's too bad. Some of the places and fish and game he goes after I would like to watch, on somebody else's show. Tdown:

I havnt really had a problem with him, however taking a shot with a bow at a running caribou is pretty stupid IMO. Eastman's and Jim Shockey are WAY better.

I don't have the same take on this show, I like watching him. He is intense, and remember everyone acts different when a camera gets pointed their way, so I don't take that too seriously. The thing I do like is that he makes every trip an adventure. It should inspire sportsman to have fun. Even fishing for sunfish can be a challenge and rewarding if you make it so. He has also produced plenty of shows with no game taken, just 'eat the license". As we all have done.

Just wish those shows would be on some other time than just weekend mornings, I want to be outside then.

I love his show, hes intense! and never makes his hunts easy.. and never uses a GUN!! :lol: plus a running shot with a gun is no better and we see that ALL the time on shows... its like a big man complex.. if you have a gun as long as you hit it it will die? that seems to be the mentality anymore....

I enjoy watching a lot of shows as long as they are DIY hunts and not fenced ranches. Got to give it to Tred, the dude lives for hunting and does it the hard way.

Last summer on the Nush up in Alaska I guided Tred Barta's camera man...dude had some amazing stories about Tred and said that he is an amimal all in his own right ! I think some of his stuff is a little over the top but overall its a decent show...still doesnt hold a stick to HAWGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG QWEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pimpin aint easy

That was the best!!! That is the only reason I watch him is because I'm looking for him to top the soiled waders show!!!

The "hunting hogs with a knife" show should have been "hunting hogs with dogs". The way he killed the hogs with a knife was a lot like killing a fish with a club after you hook and land it with a net.

What a freakin' dope... he makes me laugh... thats for sure.
