Here is a real good one for the family to enjoy. It's easy Enjoy

    · Ingredients
    1 egg white
    1 tablespoon water
    1 pound pecan halves
    1 cup white sugar
    3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    >Preparation
Smoke with Applewood for about 1/2 hour I use a Treager
-Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. or use Treager @ 250 deg Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
-In a mixing bowl, whip together the egg white and water until frothy. In a separate bowl, mix together
    sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
-Add pecans to egg whites, stir thoroughly to coat the nuts evenly. Pour the sugar mixture over the nuts,
and toss them in the sugar mixture until coated. Spread the nuts out on the prepared baking sheet
-Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Or put into your Treager @ 250 deg. Stir every 15 minutes.
-Remove after hardening & let cool. Store in air tight container. I use a mason jar and suck the air out of it with my Food Saver,

Sounds good. I would use walnuts. They cost a little bit less.

Tony, my Treager has a smoke option so they get smoked then finished off @ 250. Stir every 15 minutes during the bake part of the recipe. I prepare the baking sheet with parchment paper coated lightly with cooking spray. The pre smoke adds a layer of flavor that the pecan may not get with all of the coating.

That makes sense but not what I did. I winged it with about an hour at 250. I love 'em. I used Pecons since they were the same price as walnuts.
When I do it again I will smoke first. I will do it again...
