2 cups White Vinegar and 4 heaping teaspoons of pickling spice is what I use, dont leave it in the solution more than a couple days or it will mush out, I usually make it a couple days ahead and then drain off the liquid, when I go, it will do about 2-3 pounds of Squid--tight lines
you can use this on Herring,shad etc. and I will often add in some scents !!!!!!
