grandpas old WWII bring back german mauser 98 has been sitting too long and i really like how this rifle feels. problem is (IMO) he thought it wise to sporterize it back in the day. the stock wasnt hacked on but he tossed the handguards and bayonet lugs and rings. i hate sporterized military rifles and this one is an all matching nazi original that i'd really like to refit with the correct furniture. but i cant find a source. any ideas?

The above link for just about anything Mauser.

E-bay can be useful if you know what you actually need and what the seller is selling in regards to Mauser parts.

The large issue for a restoration is knowing which 98 you are buying furniture for. They are not all the same.

Mitchell Mausers? Numrich? I have a VZ24 and a Mexican Mauser. both 8x57. Damn they are ugly, but fun to shoot.
