Is the jig technique to fish it under a float or is it swam back to shore/boat and do you tick it off bottom?

Some good news....... got a call from my buddies on their way back from Rufus this morning, they fished the last couple of days. they SLAYED them!!!! they were fishing from a boat, but out in front of the pens and in areas near the pens. most fish were in the 4 - 10 lb range and VERY plentiful ! we have been fishing Rufus in winter months for the last few years and they say this was the best ever....by FAR! they used many differnt lures and all seemed to be effective. fishing should be excellent for the February trip! I'll post pictures of their trip when I get them....

Tie it on to the main line ... cast out..sink to bottom...slow retrieve and FISH on Tup:

Coming in a while SJ ... I tried it on the local "S" river but the whips dont allow enough reach. I am going to take them to Rufus and bonk a big Triploid with it just for you Tup:
