Welp, I hit it with drift gear and jig this morning from 0900-1230. Beautiful day, and not a fish in sight except for a boot silver on its last legs. I worked the water from the big fir tree across the hunting meadow all the way down to the power lines. Water looked great, good viz, just didn't have the right stuff today, I guess. Talked with a few others that had the same luck as me, so I know it can't be just my poor technique. I'll get a fish out of this little river one of these days. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

It is like it turned off at 8:15 this morning. I did basically the same walk only started a bit lower at daybreak and went 1 for 3 on a nightmare and bobber. About a 5-6 pound hatchery hen.

Yeah, I should have started sooner. It was warmer today earlier than I expected.
