Finally got a chance to fish some for first time in 4 months. Met my buddy Sean and Jason in Arlington. Drove up at dawn to Rockport. Only about 4 other boats going out. In fact only saw 2 guides (no Johny Coho ) and about 5 other boats all day.

River looked great! Started boondoggin the usual places first. Above bridge and straight accross from it. Then down to mouth of Sauk Area. No puke coming in and river slightly colored. In years past the bite for me has been above Rockport. I had been told this year its been hot for Hatchery near Sauk and below.

Well we had not even a sighting of a fish and moved all the way up to Cascade area to fish Big eddy area of beach. Then back down and fished miles of norm and new good looking places.

Guides looked frantic in finding fish Saw Akerlund moving all over the place.

Finally we see one fish caught. Looked to be a redish wild fish right off Sauk. That would be the only fish we saw caught and heard of caught.

Seems the Hatchery run is winding down fast. Heard its been real slow.

Well it was fun to watch the Eagles and fish with buddies. Sorry I ran out so fast. My wife was not too pleased with how long I was gone so I had to run fast. I will call you.

Guess you cant catch em all the time. :ugeek:

Peace.
