I'm hauling my sled up to fish the Skagit tomorrow morning. Anybody know what the scene is up there? I'm planning on putting in around Hamilton, but don't know for sure. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Tup:

That's a good stretch of river to fish this time of year. I haven't seen the Hamilton launch in a while so I don't know how condusive it is to sled use. Birdsview should be OK though. Good luck.

Fished in Rockport area for a few hours without any luck. Water was gin clear. Was fun running the sled on the river though.

Couple things you will want to make sure of this time of the year is early in the morning fish the middle of the runs in the deeper water and as the day progresses they will tuck up close to the bank especially with gin clear water...as well as dont overlook the chop riffle type of water where they can find some comfort...if fishing from a boat make sure and not run over the water that you plan to fish....
