I have fished silver several times this year and found the small tiger musky and largemouth bass to be excellent. The muskies are chasing just about every thing we throw. Most of the musky are still small, try not to handle the fish too much before releasing. The warm water adds to the mortality rate of these fish. The large mouth are hitting perch and rainbow crankbaits cranked just over the tops of the weeds.

Fished Silver this weekend and hooked 3 muskies. The largest of these fish was a 40" fish that followed a bucktail to the boat and was hooked in a figure 8. Lost a lure when one of the fish cut the 50# braided line I was using. Remember the steel or titanium leader. The fish are anywhere the weeds are at. Some people say they are "all staying in one spot." don't listen to that. Find yourself a good weed bed and catch bass and musky! Please release the tiger musky, in 4 or 5 years those fish will be 20lbs. and larger.
