Type in a search for fire Tom Coughlin and you get 28000 results..... I'm sure like DBA said, you could do the same for every coach in the NFL besides the Patriots coach.. DBA, you always nail the Hawks dead on. If you would just come around on Adam Jones and co. you'll be allright!!! Tup:

It must be a heck of an emotional roller coaster to want to fire the coach and all the players based on each weeks game..The Hawks have made the playoffs 5 straight years, tied with the Patriots, only one behind the Colts with 6 straight..Just be happy you don't live in Detroit, Phoenix, Cleveland, New Orleans, Buffalo, etc!!! What are reasonable expectations??? Nothing less than winning the Super Bowl, and if you don't, tear it down and start over, new coach, new QB, new recievers, new linemen??

If the Hawks can fix the offensive line to the point that it is serviceable in the running game, doesn't have to be great, just pretty good, then this team is a contender once again next year for the Super Bowl. The defense is good enough to get us there after being shored up last off season. Now it is time to shore up the offense starting with offensive line and tight end. Draft a running back and see what SA brings to training camp. My gut feeling is that SA will be pretty good if he is healthy and the line is better.

I didn't hear of anyone wanting to fire half the team including the QB. The fact is
none of them will last forever. A coach that is only thinking of one or two more
years isn't as concerned with that.

According to the NFL Network (Adam Schefter), Holmgren flew back from Arizona to Seattle today and his decision should be announced tomorrow (Tuesday). We should all know in less than a days time.

I used to thrash Holmgren for being so passive but this year he really stepped up and showed the fire that made him the champion he is capable of. He will stay and the right trades in the off season I see the Hawks being fairly dangerous next year.

Chuck, do you think that Sporano is really ready to be a head coach? I suppose it is okay because Parcells will be right there yelling at him but I'm not too sure about it. How would you like to be Wade Phillips, knowing that Jason Garrett is getting paid all that money to be your replacement when things go south next season! I think the Cowboys will implode next year as this was the post Parcell's year, meaning the team responds to Wade's easy going/no yelling style but that can't last as it leads to player laziness and eventually infighting when things go south.

I think it will challenge him but as you mentioned there is no way the Bill is going to allow his pick to fail even if he has to jump right in it. I told the wife that her cowboys were going to go to crap next year...she aint happy :mrgreen:

I see the Cowboys dropping a few pegs next year too for a couple of reasons. 1) History shows that lax, easy going, player's coaches don't last long in this league and Wade Phillips is that type of guy. 2) The Cowboys two main receivers are both over 31 years old and that isn't a good thing. 3) The Giants showed that the Cowboy passing game can be shut down and then they really struggle.

We need Holmgren this year. We'll be playing the NFC and AFC east divisions. :shock:

Ice I think your just hoping Holmgren will leave Seattle. So he will be free to be snatched up by your beloved 49er's. The 49er's suck so bad they could use Holmgren to get them winning again. :lol:

Actually I think the 49ers are going to hire P.J. Carlisemo from the Sonics as head coach. He couldn't do any worse then the dill hole they have in their at head coach now for the 9ers. :lol:
