Hey all,

I went to Kapowsin last week and caught a couple of crappie and one little rock bass. From the looks of the critter it's got to be tasty. Which leads me to a few questions.

Are they truly good to eat?

How do you catch/target them?

Should I just fish for crappie/bluegill and hope to catch them incidentally?

Any information would be appreciated. I'm not a good enough fisherman to dent the fishery, but do like a good panfish dinner now and then.

Thanx,

randy

Kapowsin is over loaded with rockies. Not sure how they taste but fishing close to the shoreline
with worm and bobber has produced very well for my son and I. I'm sure that small jigs work just as well
but for us....to good 'ole worm/bobber seems to be the best producer. You'll also catch plenty of bluegills and pumpkinseeds
with this method.
Good luck out there

all sunfish are great to eat if you like white fish. their small size is the only limiting factor. they like worms for live bait but also hit small jigs readily.
