I know there has been alot of talk lately about upcoming changes and studies on the cowlitz river, so i thought i'd share a bit of info here- Recently tacoma power created a new website to provide information on cowlitz river fishery planning, the article can be found here-
http://www.ci.tacoma.wa.us/TPU/News%20R ... _27_08.htm

The new website launched by tacoma is http://www.cowlitzfish.net/
Theres a bit of info on the site now, so we'll see how they use it with new information

It's A lot of info , But what I gather is they are thinking they can allow fish passage to the upper cow and restore habitat , then magicly the native run will return by year 12 , And If I have it right the Genetic testing is about FOC saying there is no native steel head return ,
the end result is no more hatchery fish , and natural production takes over ,
But what A lot of reading ,
