Last year when I was camping on Quincy Lake I found a large piece of wood someone else left and threw it on the fire. Not immediately knowing someone had treated the piece of wood before throwing it on, the fire began to flame like no tomorrow. The fire burned hot for about 3 hours. It appeared that someone had soaked the wood in kerosene or something, but I wasn't quite sure what was used. Does anyone have a recipe to make a chem log? I know it won't be any good for roasting anything on and the smoke is kindof nausiating, but the heat it puts out for the length of time is what I'm targeting. Let me know if anyone has any ideas or thoughts on making chemical logs.

Thanks in advance.
