Man dies in diving accident in Elliott Bay\n\n01:40 PM PST on Sunday, January 6, 2008\n\nKING Staff \n\nSEATTLE - A scuba diver died after being found unconscious in Seattle's Elliott Bay near Alki Point on Saturday afternoon. \n\n\n \nKING\n\nParamedics work on a diver found unconscious in Elliott Bay.\n\nWitnesses said they noticed the diver, who was diving alone, in need of help at around 1:30 p.m. \n\nNearby divers helped pull the man to safety, but he was unconscious and needed medical attention. \n\n"It took us two to three minutes just to swim him in. by the time we got to shore paramedics were arriving. They cut his dry suit off and began CPR," said Zach Meissner. \n\nThe diver was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. \n\nAn autopsy will be conducted on Monday.
