I kind of liked it better when there could be lurkers, it seemed to bring out some people that should just stay lurkers. There was a lot more negativity after everyone was forced to register.
IMO, I liked it better when they had to register, that way everyone didn't get mad if you talked about a good spot, made the convo better, by the way srchn, nice fish in the Avatar, and you thought there wouldn't be any fish when you got back  Tup:

I have to agree on that! All of the sudden the board has way more than it's fair share of know-it-all knuckleheads..

I'm a semi lurker. :D

I cruise the threads to see which ones I can help out with. When you guys had that other section on the old forum where there was a lot of discussion on the Agency - I read that one a lot. It was interesting to see what your concerns were based on what decisions we were making. I haven't been over there for awhile - when did they delete that section? Did it get too rowdy?

I passed on a lot of the great suggestions you guys had made there.

Not sure who Whitedog is, but yeah, there were a lot of employees that definitely kept up with that area.

I cruise the general fish chat section from time to time during work. I'm lucky to have a supervisor that believes this is an important avenue to get information out to you guys, plus assist when there are questions about this area (southwest Washington). Bruce contacted me a few years back after seeing me on another forum asking if I could participate.

A forum like this can be a great way for our program (region 5) to get feedback on what you guys are seeing, what you like, what you don't like, what can we change, what can be do better or different. I don't care what anyone says, our job as state employees also consists of being available to YOU as the public. In this day and age of technology - what better way to keep in touch?!

Your thoughts and input are a benefit as far as I'm concerned. And even though we can't always make the changes you guys want, don't think that some of us aren't trying!
