I've never went out and specifically targeted them, but i've got into them pretty good around river mouths- where the current meets into the lake. I've always caught them plunking with baits... Where are you planning on going?
Lake Whitefish
Can anyone tell me how to catch Lake Whitefish with a rod and reel?

I've always heard the pump outlet there at the north end of the lake is a good spot for whitefish... Anything like earthworms and maggots are a good bet.
