Was told that the nets are out of the Duwamish/Green because the hatchery run is so small it wasn't worth the time. Anyone know if this is true?

just wait they'll put them up higher in kent and Auburn for the Nates
Drove by the Duwamish yesturday and didn't see any. I also work in Kent and have seen a couple nets here and there. In Kent they like to set them out and sit for a good week or so. Last year I counted six steelhead in a net, and the fish weren't pulled out for six days. That was real cool to see! Tdown:

If the nets werent bad enough now the dredging is taking its toll.I think the poor run in the Duwie /Green is from the dredging going on.If I was a fish I'd think it pretty gross to swim through all that nasty cr4p theyre dredging up.Just my .02.
Oh, are they doing that crap now? Why they gotta ruin our winter run like that...
if they are leaving the nets in there for that long with dead fish in them i dont believe that is legal (but i may be wrong)..... and that should be report to WDFW.
Maybe its tough nettin since they are dredging out the river on the corner before the boeing bridge?

I didn't think the indians were suppose to net that far up in the Green (Kent/Auburn Area).

Does anyone really know the answer to this question?

I would assume there has to be a boundry somewhere, where that can't go past a certain area.

Are you trying to say if they wanted to throw a net in the carbody hole or in Flaming guyser park, they could???
When I talked to the WDFW a while back about them putting nets all the way across on the Duwamish I was told that they can do just about anything they want.
