Hit the ponds up this evening after helping dad get packed for his move to CA. I haven't caught a single fish this year and the ponds are on the way home, so what the heck!
The rain was coming down hard and the wind was blowing steadily and strongly to the north, so I fished the south side of the south pond with a 1/8oz all silver Kastmaster. Picked up two little stockers in about 15 minutes, chatted with a local for about 30, and headed home completely drenched.
Everyone else were fishing with worms or powerbait under a bobber and doing well. If you decide to try the Kastmaster the key (for trout anyway) is to reel in very slowly. You'll know you've got the speed right when you start getting hits.
