Anyone else take advantage of this "Free Fishing Weekend" and get out with the Family, before the rains hit on Sunday?

There were about a dozen other boats out on Shadow Lake in Maple Valley Saturday, where most Folks were trolling for the Triploids (planted.there recently.)
A couple others were doing well, hitting the Perch and Bluegills that are now busy Spawning and very protective of anything getting close to their Nest. Fun times! " TRAPPER "

Did you catch all those pan fish!?

Yes, and they tasted a lot better than the usual "Popcorn" while watching a movie!

Nice catch ! Congrats !

So this is another internal engine use restricted lake if memory serves ? So if I use a boat with both an electric trolling motor and a gas main engine. Can I use this boat as long as I only use the electric motor or my set of oars ?

thanks

Nope, Sorry..... A friend and I pulled into one of the little lakes in the Kent / Auburn area to chat with a bud that was tubing and we barely got out of the truck when a Sheriff came out of no where and started in on us. He laughed and apologized after we told him we had just stopped to wag our Jaw's...
"Internal Combustion Motors Prohibited Means, fishing from a floating device equipped
with an internal combustion motor, is not allowed."
(Can not have it mounted on the Boat, no wonder the fishing is so good in this lake.)

[
Equipped with a motor: A motor is attached to the floating device, regardless of whether the motor is in the water. " TRAPPER "

What day is free fishing day in California?
MARIERUFUS, Your in luck, unlike Washington State that has only one Free Fishing Weekend in July, this year California has two days at different times of the year. Have fun and let us know how you did come September.

CDFW Prod

Free Fishing Days for 2021 are Saturday, July 3 and Saturday, September 4.
Have you ever felt the excitement of watching your bobber suddenly jiggle, then dive out of sight? Or feeling the tap-tap-tap of a bass as it tastes the worm on the end of your line? Or having a salmon practically tear the rod out of your hands as it smashes your lure? What's that? You say you never learned to fish?
If you are new to the sport of fishing, and not sure if you will enjoy it, a great opportunity awaits you. CDFW offers two Free Fishing Days each year. On these days, you can fish without a sport fishing license. Free Fishing Days provide a great, low-cost way to give fishing a try. Some CDFW Regions offer a Fishing in the City program where you can go fishing in the middle of major metropolitan areas perhaps just a few blocks from your home. Fishing in the City and free fishing day clinics are designed to educate novice anglers about fishing ethics, fish habits, effective methods for catching fish, and fishing tackle. You can even learn how to clean and prepare your catch so you can enjoy it for dinner that night.
While all fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect, there are two days each year when anyone can fish without purchasing a fishing license.
On Free Fishing Days, every angler must have the appropriate report card if they are fishing for:
  • steelhead
  • sturgeon
  • or salmon in the Smith and Klamath-Trinity River Systems.
