My husband and I were thinking about fishing the mancheter area tommorow. Does anyone have directions from puyallup. Thank you .

Take the i5 north to Hwy 16. Go past Gig Harbor,Purdy and Olalla to Port Orchard exit, Tremont Ave. Turn right at end of offramp. Follow to stoplight at
Jackson Ave, turn left on Jackson. Follow to stoplight at bottom of hill, Mile Hill Rd. Turn right on Mile Hill. Follow signs to Manchester state park.
Turn left off of Mile Hill onto Colchester Dr. Follow Colchester to the stopsign, turn right to boat ramp.

The great thing about fishing Manchester is that it is pretty well protected. If it's to windy to fish Kignston or Jeff Head I always find fishable water at Manchester. Good luck and post your report.

You don't want to launch at Manchester, really. The ramp is only useable above 2-3' tide level. The parking lot is very small. There's no fish over there. Hell, they even took down the store. Some idiot likes to leave his boat tied up to the floats all day long during the summer. Kids are always playing on the floats. Really, I'm sure you would much prefer say Armini or Shilshole, anywhere but Manchester. Really. wink:

the parking lot is small. they are doing new construction at the old store site so overflow lot is closed. ramp only good above 2'
