Did anyone catch Dino Rossi's speech tonight? If you didn't, you can get it off his website. I found it to be quite refreshing. Check it out and offer your opinion. It's about 40 minutes long.

I voted for Rossi last time around so I thought I would give it a try. Only took 10 minutes before I realized it the same polital crap you hear everywhere. Just change the names- it's all the same crap.
Now there you go again...

Misrepresenting yourself as a Rossi supporter to ingratiate yourself with yourself
and rationalize your real intent which is to bash him.

You lefties would be more credible is you had brains. :p
Call me what you want but I think ALL politicians are full of it. Left and right. All they care about is getting elected. Some folks with SMALL brains just can't realize it and they really think the party they have allegiance with cares about them. Wake up Bonzo, they don't care. If you think they do, maybe your a politician and you've fooled yourself just like they have fooled our voting public. Our political system is so corrupt it's beyond fixing. It's all about the money and both parties are greedy and power hungry.

Sledgehammer asked for opinions about the recording and I gave it.
Now there you go again...

My intention in pointing out how you were fooling yourself with that "I voted for Rossi" routine was to try to get you in touch with your true inner self. And what do you do? You parrot my message right back and try to convince yourself that that it is really someone else wearing blinders. Some folks will never see beyond their illusions.

You lefties would be more credible if you had brains. :p
Yeah, I guess I screwed up by voting for Rossi just like I did when I voted for GW. Makes me sick:

Priceless! And this coming from a guy named Bonzo.. no less!
Hell I voted for Bush twice and Rossi once. I fail to see any fault in that. I would vote for Bush again if he was facing the same pair of klutzes he faced in 00 and 04. But since he isn't even in the race it's all moot.

This makes no sense. :?

If you voted for Rossi and in 10 minutes you had an epiphany, how's that possible when he never got the opportunity to implement any policies as the Governor? Did you expect him to change anything 10 minutes after you voted for him. conf: ..You got some slpain'n to do...
FF, nope, no epiphany. I just watched the video and after 10 minutes I had seen enough. As I stated before, just more of the same rhetoric you hear from any political candidate.

Sledge asked for opinions about the video and I gave mine. Seems no one else here is willing to say whether or not they like the video. Just flaming me for not liking it. Oh well..........flame on.
Don't sweat the flames too much Viper... that's what we do here for fun! Tup:

Right flames left... left tries to reason with right... right flames left again... and so on. :D

It's the Circle of Life :D
I appreciate you giving your opinion Viperman. If you like your taxes going up, Vote Gregoire. Take a look at what she said prior to election, and what she did after election. She made big mistakes as attorney general. She missed a simple deadline that cost us taxpayers 70 million dollars, bad move and unnecessary. She is simply a typical government insider. She has worked for the government for 38 yrs, do you think she's going to change? I was in the government. It is the most inefficient machine I have ever experienced. There is very little accountability to any employees. It's just bad, real bad. We need to give somebody else a shot, preferably someone from the private sector. There is no such thing as "we can't afford it" in government. There is so much dead wait it's unbelievable. Thank god I'm in the private sector now. I will be volunteering for Rossi's campaign and will vote for him again. Change can happen if the people demand it. By the way, she increased the budget 33%.
Dead weight, that is. Bottom line is that there are a lot of people that need to be fired. You should see DSHS work. Wow, what a sight that is. I've taken kids away from their parents and DSHS doesn't want to take them into their custody. They don't give a sh&* about the kids. They just want to sit on their asses all day and get paid for nothing.
Now, there you go again viperman... Getting all flustered over air waves.

But honestly, I believe that if you give a bit of thought to what SH just posted you will begin to see that Rossi might offer some fiscal restraint that is just not a part of Gregoire's nature.

I guess webo, that it all depends on what the definition of is, is...

Now, what I speculate you were attempting to convey is that, "Left flames right... right tries to reason with left... left flames right again... and so on."

But, of course, it wasn't always that way.

Let me tell you about the time, about 28 years ago, when former Congressman Prentiss Walker dropped in on a farm and introduced himself as a Republican candidate. And as he tells it, the farmer's eyes lit up, and then he said, 'Wait 'til I get my wife. We've never seen a Republican before.' And a few minutes later he was back with his wife, and they asked Prentiss if he wouldn't give them a speech.

"Well, he looked around for a kind of a podium, something to stand on, and then the only thing available was a pile of that stuff that the late Mrs. Truman said it had taken her 35 years to get Harry to call 'fertilizer.' So, he stepped up on that and made his speech.

And apparently he won them over. And they told him it was the first time they'd ever heard a Republican. And he says, 'That's okay. That's the first time I've ever given a speech from a Democratic platform.'" :p

Now the difference between the libs here and the farmer is...
He had brains... And they were connected to his eyes and ears.
