There is still plenty of fish in there, and will be for quite some time.
We where up there last week and there was still fish to be had. Our last trip up there we went 9/5
Yep there's always fish in there Mark. Just need to go fish. We've done well the last few days that I have fished, pretty tough all in all but they are there if your willing to put a ittle time in.
how is the access down river from blue creek? i have fished the boat launch area many times but thinking about going down. hows the crowds? still as productive?

Same access as before fish are down there and the water is perfect color just not alot of fish. Crowds have thinned with the thinning of the fish but with weekend on the way it'll be busy again.
MYSTICAL LEGENDS, you must take your laptop out on the water with you. YOU are the man for the reports. everywhere i turn on this sight you are talked about or you are giving advise. good job, you have a very good name out there.
is there main roads to park and walk down to the river? any suggestion?
No, I don't take the lap top to the river but I do have it with alot of the time these days. conf:
On days I'm not fishin GF is on the confuser all day. Tup:

Just go to Blue Creek boat launch and you'll have a place to fish both up stream and down stream. Don't think your going to ba alone. Another small tip. I've seen more fish caught this last week on days I've fished by bank guys throwing spinners. Tup:
I was on the Cow lips yesterday and didn't touch a fish. Saw 2 nets move and one boat said they got two. I typically don't fish the merry go round at the culvert, it takes too much effort and the fun out of the "fishing". I spent the majority of the day drifting from BC down to the rock levy above mission bar.

This year has been good to me. This was the first winter run trip I was skunked. Seems that the run may be tapering down.

Phil,
Thanks for sharing some good info! Tup:
Would it worth a while to drag my DB down to the Cow??
Or should I just bank it since I'm too poor to get a sled...
i've allways done alright on the banks. thats why im asking about other places on this river. however, those on the boats are in the boats because they catch fish. i enjoy the bank. i meet alot of new and old friends. and can take a break any time.

I hear ya with fuel prices at $3.55 a gallon it's killin me. At this time if I fish 5 days a week I'm spending $400 plus just for the truck

An option would be the Barrier dam down to Blue creek drift. Or just stay in the intake drift in the drift rowing up and fishin plugs, jigs, and drift fishin.

Ouch, that hurts to spend so much for fuel expense and that's not counting fuel expense for your boat!
It's getting to be so expensive just getting to fishing waters these day...
Dang ML! Do you drive home every night? I did a half day trip down there, and I had to take a nap today.

Yep, I was! Try that 4 or 5 days in a row. nuke: At the time I'm just fishin 3 to 4 days a week so it ain't to bad. The last couple years I've stayed in more motels and camper beds than I've spent in my own. I'd just soon drive home when I can even if it takes a little extra energy. wink:

That has to be hard on the family life.
I would be a zombie if I was doing that these days. I would have never come home yesterday, but the Cow was slow. I saw you guys with a fish on, and a guy on shore. The wind was suppose to blow today, and the rivers I wanted to fish were on the rise. I had to go tho. My boat was in the shop for a week waiting on a part for the puter. Its runnin good now.
Thats a purdy boat ya got there! Scoots right up the cric too.......
