That was a sweet victory. Lowe was being D'd up pretty well, but he made the best of it. The Cougs keeped an 80 point per game team to 41 points. There's a lot to be said about great defense and ball handling in the tourney.
I've been watching a lot of Coug games. I have seen them get beat too
many times to call for an upset. It should be interesting at least for
awhile. NC likes to run and the Cougs will frustrate them some in that
aspect. If NC goes really cold from 3pt range, then anything is possible.
Lowe, Bains and Weaver will *all* have to have a good game.
I've slept in line on concrete walkways come game day, skipped classes to watch important away games on TV, and lost my voice many a time in my fruitless attempts to tell Aaron Baynes that there's more to basketball than dunking. You could call me a diehard.
I have been a fan of Tyler Hansbrough since the first time I saw him play, and I have never wanted him or his team to lose until now. I love you Tyler, but your season has to end Thursday. Yes UNC is a very good team, but with the way the cougs have been playing recently I wouldn't be suprised to see them pull out the upset.
If you're new to cougar basketball, watch Kyle Weavers incredible intuition when hitting the glass and playing the passing lanes, and Taylor Rochesties incredible offensive awareness and touch.
