Columbiaguide,

Got a question for you. The bait ball of sandshrimp and worms, how do you get it to stay on the hook and do you use the standard sturgeon hook or do you tie your own smaller ones? I know that you had it on the older board and didn't copy it down. Thanks

Use old nylons as a mesh to hold your bait together. I have used them for years for salmon fishing(tuna balls) and sturgeon fishing (tuna, shrimp, pickled herring). They work great.

Slide a medium sized squid up onto your leader and then put your sandshrimp and crawlers on the hook, then slide the squid back over the shrimp/crawler concoction and stretchy thread it up. It works alright. ;)

Oh ya, and whatever you do, make sure you don't soak it down with WD-40. :D

Thanks to all of the replies, hopefully I'll be slaying them next week, with some sturgeon porn to show!
