The clouds are called Mammatus clouds! . They do not precede a tornado, or foretell a storm, but are formed when the air is already saturated with rain droplets and/or ice crystals and begins to sink. The worst of the storm is usually over when these kinds of clouds are seen. They are quite rare, but really beautiful.

I've never seen clouds like that around here, do you know where the pictures were taken?

they appear to be a cross between cumulus and alto stratus clouds. As an fyi, The name "mammatus" is derived from the Latin mamma (breast), due to the resemblance between the shape of these clouds and human female breasts.

Looked at them photos again. I believe those are cumulo scrotus clouds.

Thats awesome, I didn't even realize what they look like. You are right Mother Nature is hilarious sometimes. ROFLMAO Tup:
