    Funny that you added to this thread today. Just finished smoking up another batch yesterday, sliced it up this morning. Great stuff. Jealous of your slicer, need to get one of those.

    Just de-boned 2 more shoulders. I.5 going to be turned into bacon and the other half is in the crock pot with some sea salt and liquid smoke. Tup:

    The real beauty of shoulder bacon...the price! When's the last time you paid 98 cents a pound for bacon?

    no hurry, iv'e got 2 more shoulders curing and smoking next friday... going to stock up on frozen and be done for a while... I can't pass up a sale!

    I just bought two 18 lb boneless pork butts .. One for pulled pork and I guess I better get the other one curing

    I've got to try me some. Anyone care to share their cure recipes? Would you try using less salt in the beginning or do you need it to keep the meat from spoiling?

    Thanks, will do. I went to my go to site amazingribs.com but wasn't sure their recipe would turn out - a lot of the comments said it never crisped properly.
