Its a really simple job. Ya just have to decide what kind of copper you want. Then lay out your waterline, and scratch up the bottom good, and roll some on...or spray if you don't like the roll marks. Some might suggest to prime it first to get a good chemical bond.
I can see why you might not want to mess with it. It is kind of a hastle to contain your dust if you don't want it everywere, and that stuff is a pesticide so you want to gear up.
Just another option that will save you a few bucks.
