I launched at Salsbury Park, motored around to Skunk Bay to try my hand for the very first time. Water was smooth, no wind. I moved South with the tide heading toward Pt. No Pt. Put on a Coyote Spoon, big black eye, red spot on the tail :? , 32" leader, 11" g/g flasher, set the DR at 115" and in 2 minutes had a good takedown Tup: , netted a 24" hatchery Chinook clap: . It was the only takedown I had this morning.
Friday the 18th: Fished the same area but did not net a legal BM.
I had 4 on, 2 were undersize Chinook. I did see a nice Chinook netted around 11:00 AM by a boat trolling North in about 130-150 FT.
