According to the latest "Liars Gazette" (Fishing and Hunting News) they have too much snow at Fish Lake to get a decent layer of ice.
The report did say some guys went out and had some good luck with Perch. The report also said they had to tie themselves off to the shore with rope because they didn't know if the ice would hold them. The ice was slushy and had a layer of water sitting on the surface.
