Did I hear correctly that the Senate Democrats, who pissed and moaned for a year, caved in on an extension of the FISA ACT? Isn't that yet another defeat for the Democrats who swore to their base they would change Washington when they were elected.....Oh never mind---that's Obama... The House is sure to follow marking yet another victory for the Bush administration over the weak and vacuous groaning of Democrat leaders..

2/13/08
President Bush praised a Senate bill that reauthorizes the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and called on members of the House to follow the upper chamber's lead and pass a "good piece of legislation."

"I'm pleased that last night, senators approved new legislation that will ensure our intelligence professionals have the tools they need to make us safer, and they did so by a wide bipartisan majority," Bush says in the Oval Office. "The Senate bill also provides fair and just liability protections for companies that did the right thing and assisted in defending America after the attacks of September the 11th."

The dems always talk a bunch of smack, then cave into doing the right thing. They are afraid to actually vote against something like this because they know they will get their asses handed to them by the voters. They like to show disagreement to the cameras and talk tough. If people would just pay attention to how they vote. If they truly believe in getting out of Iraq, why don't they grow a set of balls and not fund it. They are a bunch of punk a$$ [email protected]#ches!!

The American people were promised change, change being the end of the Iraq war, the impeachment of Bush and Cheney, the end of corruption, and finally, a chicken for every pot. Since they can't do much of anything, Harry Waxman and Co. are chasing Roger Clements around trying to impeach him instead.

DB, isn't that the truth. I listened to that this morning on 950. If I was Clemens, at the point when they said that "this is important stuff," I would have taken the opportunity to say something like this' "you dumb asses think this important? More important than the safety of our troops fighting for the freedom of our country? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for wasting so much time on something that is so meaningless. You assholes should get off your high horses and start doing the work of the people. We have a country to run and you are taking the easy road and worrying about professionals taking HGH. As I told you. I have not taken any HGH, and I stand by my statement. I am innocent so I say to you, prove me wrong with evidence or shut the f^*k up.The true heros are the men and women fighting for our freedom. If you cared about the work of the people, you would unite and stand behind them. Until you prove me wrong, please excuse me while I go drop a big boneless brown and flush a Waxman."

Now, why would a party that thinks they are about to place their man in the White House want to prevent him from having maximum spying ability? Both sides want to remove as much power FROM the people as they can, while keeping you in the dark about it.

Divider, when did you say the liberals would "fix" this stuff again? Seems like "never" to me.

I've never heard Obama claim he will stop spying on Americans. He'll just change the intended target to dangerous ultra right wing conservatives instead of Muslim terror suspects.

The Clemens thing? Good grief... what a waste of time and money. Typical Congress.

I don't have a problem with FISA. I had a real problem with Bushco claiming that FISA was an impediment in the war on terrah. Does anybody have a memory anymore??????

Gotta agree on the Clemens thing. The government has as much business regulating baseball as they do in the bedroom regulating technique. The whole thing is like the carnival magician. Gotta have something to distract your attention.

I like the photo. Needs a caption. Let's say; 'Friends of Terrorist enemies of National Security.'

Oops there goes my memory.

Funny how some refer to the facts and yet really just blow smoke around. Don't give me data that's contradictory to my preconceptions. Huh 1/x?

"January 20, 2009 - the day our long national nightmare will be over."

...And the nightmarish reality will begin. How to endure the slings and arrow of outrageous governance will be an interesting exercise. Hope the USA survives socialist reality.
