I too have always been a .45 fan.
If high capacity is what you're after, check out the Kimber polymer .45.............14+1, with the same grip as a standard 1911 single stack and weight.........these high cap mags are now available at a somewhat decent price.
I've got this model Kimber with 4", vs the full size...makes a great carry when you got to have extra firepower..............
