What Hunter Said... It all depends on what type of round you load in the chamber...But yeah .40 S&W in a compact for concealed carry is a great choice....I carry Glock 19 it is 9mm but it holds 19 rounds with a glock 17 mag..That is a lot of firepower for being compact frame with a light weight...But the ammo that I use for concealed carry you cant buy it off the shelf at Sportsmans...It is hand loaded by a freind, 1400 fps hollow points. The talons mushroom out like razor blades in this ammo and it will shred what ever gets in its way.
