I tryed to get some fish under the brige of 6th- nothing on BiueFox, nothing on drifting. Didn't see anyone pull out anything. I was there for an hour or so, around 9-9:30AM. Wrong spot? I hope so...
Fished the Nisqually this evening after work for about an hour on the military side. I think it is still too early for the Kings. I would like to mention that the military side is completely different from last year. It's going to be hard to get in a fish close to the bridge on the military side. Good luck to you all and keep those lines tight.
I was there last night to check out the shoreline after the high water this weekend. With the low tide the log jam movement actually opens up more shoreline to the north closest to the bridge then there has been in the past. The shoreline doesnt go back as far as it used to but its tripled or more in length.
Went down to the Nasty this morning, got there early 545 am and it was packed, seen 1 fish roll : a lot of new "rookies" there and they were casting way up the stream; and did not have the equipment so you have a long waiting period to cast or they cast over you...smh. Left the river at 830 and not one person had a fish on nor caught one... still early but with the amount of people and all the closures I am debating if it will be worth to come back.
Odd...I crossed the bridge at 6:00 AM on the way to Riverbend and counted 6 cars. Saw 2 guys fishing on the west side. Oh, hooked 1 large King and it broke my 15# test mainline after 3 runs.
Moe
Went out for about four hours last Sunday went three and seven but only took two home because one was native lost a #20 if not more do to my brothers poor netting abilities :/
Went to the nisqually Monday. Decent results but some guru decided half of Washington needed to know about a once semi quite river and turn a section into a bobber fiasco. Constantly crossing over those on the opposite side of the river. I usually fish eggs but not in sections that are loaded with several other people. Thanks pautzke.
My eggs still smoke yours
Yea I saw him out there I wouldn't say it was a quite river but it has seemed like there's more people than usuall ....not gonna lie though I felt pretty cool out fishing the pautzke guy
went to the river bend, a buddy and i had our bobbers go down a few times, no fish taken home. but the guide boat we saw did real well! fish are there just gotta keep trying.
Never released so many fish in my life !!! Landed nine kings today and a silver jack out of the ten fish 6 were giant natives .... All released then two dark chinook ..... Released then finally got a fish worth keeping a small silver jack they taste amazing ... Then ended the day on a good note with a nice chrome hatchery chinook ..... Very good day of fishing now I'm gonna spend the rest of the day iceing my arm ... Glad to see so many native fish in the river
Fished Sunday. 5:50am - 11:30am. Six hours of nothing but dark Chinook.
nothing worth even smoking.
On another note trying to squeeze in on people who show up early enough to get a spot is not the best way to start a morning off. Especially when there's other spots wide open. Show up early get the spot. If not kick rocks.
Decent fishing when i first got there then slowed down ALOT later on ended up leavening with four fish two where jacks really really wanted a fifth fish to fill up my first catch card this season but it didn't happen
Went 3 for 8 on bright chums at the handicap, a lot of snags but the fish are in. A lot more fish caught around the corner at the campground. Tightlines!
Nothing going on at the Tank Xing. But PM me if im wrong. Seriously, I'd love to be wrong!
