Hit the carbon this morning about half hour before sunrise at the clay wall in Orting and hooked a nice 8 lb hatchery hen (chinook). I was surprised to see one still chrome that far up, it must have been in overdrive getting up there. I was using a #10 glo cheater (green) with black yarn and a size 1 hook with 6 feet of 12 lb leader. Fish on!
Started fishing about 7 am and by just after 8, I had landed 2 coho. A hen and a buck, both weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz. A friend land a buck also. Another guy using eggs got 2 himself. It was pretty dead after 9 to 3 pm when we left.
