So what kinds of tying materials do you guys mostly use? At this time, I'm hung up on rabbit hair.

That mainly depends on what kind of profile I want the jig to have. I definitely think rabbit fur is the easiest material to use, but if I want a jig with a larger profile, I definitely go to marabou. |

Thanks Omar,
Please keep us posted.
I've bought unpainted jig heads from Joe, but not the plain heavy wire jig hooks. I was just curious if he sells just the sickle jig hooks by themselves.
I bought the sickle siwash hooks from him in the past. Killer hooks.

I know he gets the hooks and pours them himself to sell so Im sure you can call him and buy just hooks from him. Its worth a shot. As for sickle siwash...... I will only use those and probably never a normal siwash again for steelhead and salmon.

I know, its something new Im trying. Its good to be different sometimes, and thats me for sure. lol The body of that jig comes from many hours of searching craft stores for items I can use for my fishing arsenal. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve as well. Ill send ya a couple prototypes for field testing Omar. ![]() |
