When you want the BIG FAT RED Koke's and you want a limit of "10" of these instead of 5 skinny fish.

Nope all we have down here is skinny fish

All I have to say is WOW Tup: Those are some great looking Kokes! We will have to work hard to beat the south in this war of Kokanee turf wink:

I will admit I am amazed. I have in all honesty never fished the south lakes. However many of my fishing buddys here have and too a tee each has said the south lakes have very small Kokes. In fact a buddy sent me a pic last year from Merdian showing his biggest ever and it was on the med size. But I bow Tup: clap: Great fish. Too bad the limit is 5.

I'd like to try this Koke fishin sometime...but American and Stevens are waaaayyyy to far for me to drive to. Anyone know of any decent Koke fishin close to Oak Harbor??
One other thing too...Do you really need to have downriggers? If ao...how deep arethese fish? Are they bottom huggers like their Saltwate cousins?
How fast do you troll? Can you tell I know absolutely NOTHING about this fishery???????
I assume from the posted pics that a pink splatter flasher and a wedding ring are "the way" to go.

Thanks for your patience and answers all...

One other thing too...Do you really need to have downriggers? NO. Not early in the season. Or you can just keep putting heavier weight on.

If ao...how deep arethese fish? 5-70 feet
Are they bottom huggers like their Saltwate cousins? Not really
How fast do you troll? 1-1.8 mph. Mine were mostly about 1.4
Can you tell I know absolutely NOTHING about this fishery???????
I assume from the posted pics that a pink splatter flasher and a wedding ring are "the way" to go. No! You will need lots of stuff, colors and smells.

I plan on giving it a shot next saturday!!! Time for the first blood in the boat for the year.
The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.
