How far could you hit an apple every time with your arrow?

I have a small orchard on my place. Last year we were doing this and it was surprising how far we could hit them. Sometimes out to 60 yards, but to do it every time.... not many guys could at 40 yards, yet everyone could at 20.

Most all the guys did at 25 yards, more then half at 30 yards. The success starts to drop for 100% hits at 35, and at 40 nobody was 100% although there were a lot of grazed hits at 40.The best shooters were hitting them 2-3 of four shots and some guys never hit it once!

At 50 yards it was about 1 in 4 for the better shots. What do you think you could do? If it were for a hundred bucks a shot, how far would you be confident to shoot and never miss?

30-35 yards is about my comfort zone.. my father could have done it all day at 50, my uncle can do it all day at 50, but thats over 40 years expierience shooting for him...

Maybe 4 or 5 feet.

30 yards, every time.

Limit my hunting yardage to 45 on deer, 55 on elk, depending on conditions.

heres a pic of 2 arrows, the top one was shot at 40 yards, bottom one was my dads, and was hit at 40 yards, he shot both of them..

Since grazing the apple does not count and it is one hundred dollars a shot I would shoot just like when I elk hunt. Nothing more than 30 yards. To stick an apple with an arrow is harder than it looks.

100 bucks an arrow? 50 yrds..... Id go 60 after a few shots
