That's the same warranty I got when I bought my 2 Gloomis rod's and a Symetre reel at Auburn Sports and Marine store that was a 50 mile drive (which I could have got the rods closer).That was 8 years ago.I had those rods for about 2 years before I broke my med. light on a silver.Took it back and they said they did not honor that warranty anymore because people were taking advantage of it.That was not my fault and the warranty was why I bought my rods from them in the first place.It ended up costing me $50.00 to expidite a rod to me because I needed it right away.They got me for $450.00 that night but not another penny since.So after all my ranting my question to you is...2 years from now if I break my rod will I still get an over the counter rod no charge in exchange or will it be gone because people take advantage of it?
