Thanks guys. Steve and I fished MA-13 out of Boston Harbor. The folks at work were looking outside and saying, "You aren't going fishing in that stuff are you???" I said, "I certainly am!!!" It's just too much fun when the Chum are that aggressive!!!

Yeah Greg, Steve was able to get his anchovy leader back and remove the hook and yarn leader from the fishes side before releasing it.

No hens? It seems when the Pinks 1st arrive it's all (mostly) males, wonder if they arrive 1st or are they just more aggressive and bite better?

We did too at first. That's why we netted that one and brought it in the boat. But nope... all boys. I don't know what the deal is. There are plenty of hens swimming around out there... but for some reason only the boys are interested in biting the chovies. We saw the same thing last year...

Great return this year, huh deathpunch? Yeah, one of the guys out there last Friday said he caught an undersized sturgeon there on Thursday. Steve and I were very surprised to hear there are sturgeon in that area of MA-13. Crazy huh?

Trent, Steve,

I had a question for you guys.

Given the time frame and weather how long does that fishery last in the salt before it starts to lean towards it's terminal fishery?

Is there a better time to be out there tide wise, incoming or outgoing?

I have a simailar fishery close to home where I jig during the summer, and don't want to put the boat away just yet.

Thanks Guys!

Winterun, this fishery can last anywhere from a few days up to three weeks, depending on how much rain we get and the size of the run. We have done best a few hours before high tide and during the out going tide.

Thanks Trent!

I was thinking I had to be out there doing a little recon during a couple of tide changes. Now to find someone that wants to go out, and tear themselves away from the rivers for a day.

Appreciate it,
Joe
